….And as I lay myself to rest

I was waiting for a taxi in one of the busy side streets in Delhi when I turned around and saw this old man folding his clothes to make a pillow. He slowly took off his shoes and put them on the grass before pulling out a crumpled newspaper from his jacket. Then he lay on the concrete parapet, crossing his legs to make himself more comfortable. He was unmindful of the traffic and noise around him absorbed as he was with whatever he was reading. How I wish I could also turn off the world just like that! Not even my taking several shots of him thru the fence that surrounded the park disturbed his contented demeanor.
