Serrated Mountain Range

The rock formations that look like serrated peaks gave rise to the name of Montserrat where a beautiful basilica is located, the Santa Maria de Montserrat which houses the Black Madonna. We visited this on a daytrip from nearby Barcelona and I remember attending the Sunday service which featured a boys’ choir that sang beautiful Gregorian chants. This is one of the chapels with the peaks rising ominously from behind.
