Driving through Yosemite Park, we came to this vantage point overlooking a deep valley with the famous half dome rock in the far distance. Millions of years ago when the glaciers slowly retreated up north, they gouged the landscape and cut this huge rock into two. As I stood there with the wind whistling through the rocky outcrop, I could just imagine the tremendous forces that came into play when nature decided to carve up these mountains! It was late afternoon and the light above and the shadow below made a beautiful contrast against each other making the whole scene look quite surreal.
